  Pets on Iryo Trains

  Yes, you can bring your pet on Iryo trains, subject to the following conditions:

  • Each passenger is allowed to bring one small pet (dogs, cats, ferrets, or birds not considered poultry) weighing up to 10 kg.
  • Pets must travel inside a rigid or semi-rigid carrier that is fully enclosed and placed on the floor without obstructing the aisle. The carrier dimensions must not exceed 60x35x35 cm.
  • Pets must have an updated health card, vaccination records, and identification (such as a microchip) as required by the origin and destination regulations.

  The transport of pets incurs an additional fee, which must be paid in advance during ticket purchase.

  Guide dogs, assistance dogs, and emotional support animals are exempt from weight or carrier restrictions and may travel free of charge alongside their owners.

  For dogs larger than 10 kg, the following applies:

  • The service must be booked via Iryo's customer service at 910 150 000 to obtain a special ticket for the dog and a Singular ticket for the adult passenger.
  • It is mandatory to complete, print, and sign a responsible declaration, and submit it at Iryo's office at least 90 minutes before departure.
  • You must also present an updated vaccination card and have proof of insurance for your dog as required by law.
  • A cleaning kit (bags, wipes, and disinfectant spray) must be brought for your dog.
  • During the trip, your dog must remain on the seat with a non-extensible leash (maximum 1.5 meters). A muzzle is required while boarding and disembarking the train.
  • For large dogs, passengers and their pets will board last and disembark first to minimize disruption.

  Important Restrictions:

  • Dogs under 1 year old, dogs in heat, and certain breeds classified as dangerous are not allowed to travel on Iryo trains.
  • The price for traveling with a dog over 10 kg is 40€ per trip. The adult's ticket is a Singular fare, which may vary in price depending on the time of purchase.
  • Additional passengers can be added to the reservation, but children and infants are not currently allowed. Please note that only one pet per adult passenger is allowed.
